Apple's upcoming iPhone 17 Pro Max will feature a significant design overhaul
marking a departure from previous models. One of the most notable changes is the introduction of a horizontal camera bar extending across the device's back, reminiscent of Google's Pixel series. This new design replaces the traditional square camera bump, offering a fresh aesthetic for Apple's flagship device.
The horizontal camera bar is expected to house the triple-camera system, with the lenses arranged in a triangular layout. Additionally, elements such as the flash, LiDAR sensor, and microphone are repositioned vertically on the right side of the camera module. While this design shift is primarily aesthetic, it signifies Apple's effort to differentiate the iPhone 17 Pro Max from its predecessors.
In addition to the camera redesign, the iPhone 17 Pro Max is rumored to feature a new aluminum frame, replacing the titanium used in previous models. This change aims to provide a smoother transition between the camera module and the device's back panel. Furthermore, the device is expected to come equipped with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, enhancing AI performance and multitasking capabilities.
These design changes are part of Apple's broader strategy to innovate and set new trends in the smartphone industry. The iPhone 17 Pro Max, along with the rest of the iPhone 17 lineup, is anticipated to be unveiled in September 2025, following Apple's traditional release schedule.
